Sexten primary rock (SU):

Natural stone from South Tirol, mined directly .from cliffs and then cut to the size of millstones and processed.

Properties: When used at low speeds, this stone's particular structure mills grain into fine, fluffy flour. Furthermore, the bran is retained in the form of relatively large flakes with this method. Even when the mill is operated for long periods, the flour is warmed only slightly, Sexten primary rock is preferred for bolting mills and mills with integrated flour sifting machines. Water mills in particular have been equipped with this stone for centuries. Depending on the particular amount of use, the millstones may have to be resharpened.

Naxos s

tone (NA):

This stone, which is composed of pressed corundum ,emery, magnesite and magnesium, has a coarse grindings surface which does not have to be resharpened.

Stone-ground flour is of the highest quality and retains its natural taste.

Because this stone's particular qualities, a somewhat grainier whole-meal flour is produced when large amounts are milled, and the bran is of the same size of the rest of the flour. Sharpens naturally!

Newly developed natural stone mixture (NN):

A mixture of Sexten granitic sand corundum and porcelain which is melted in a calcining furnace at extremely high temperatures (without the use of chemicals or adhesives). Extremely fine pores are formed with this production method, thereby creating a permanently coarse grinding surface and making resharpening unnecessary.

This stone is suitable for all dry grains and oil-bearing seeds. Thanks to this new development, the bran is ground finely together with the wholemeal flour. Because of its hardness, this stone mixture is ideal for small-diameter millstones at high speeds.

Models A500/A400

Both models are available with either Naxos stone or Sexten primary rock. Especially suited for small bakeries, schools, hotels, agricultural operations, etc.

Hourly capacity:

Model A500 (NA): approx. 50 to 70 kg of grain.

Model A500 (SU): approx. 30 to 35 kg of grain.

Model A400 (NA): approx. 25 to 30 kg of grain.

Model A 400 (SU): approx. 15 to 20 kg of grain.

Models A300/A200

The models A300 and A200 are true to the tradition of the household mill. The slow grinding speed (gear-driven) means that the grain is warmed only to a very slight degree, even after hours of milling. Therefore, these models are quite good for relatively large quantities produced in constant operation. The A300 and A200 are available with Sexten primary rock or Naxos stone, or the newly developed stone mixture by request. We recommend them for households, schools, agricultural operations, hotels, etc.

Model A300 (NA): approx. 15 to 20 kg of grain.

Model A300 (SU): approx. 10 to 15 kg of grain.

Model A200 (NA): approx. 7 to 10 kg of grain.

Model A200 (SU): approx. 5 to 7 kg of grain.

Models A1000/A700

With these two models, one can choose between Naxos stone and Sexten primary rock for the millstone.

Compared to Naxos Stone, Sexten primary rock grinds more gently at a slower speed so that the aroma and baking qualities are retained in full. Ideal for bakeries and commercial and agricultural operations.

Hourly capacity:

Model A1000 (NA): approx. 100 to 140 kg of grain.

Model A1000 (SU): approx. 70 to 80 kg of grain.

Model A700 (NA): approx. 70 to 100 kg of grain..

Model A700 (SU): approx. 40 to 50 kg of grain.

Model A1600

With a Naxos millstone; especially suitable for grinding large quantities, e.g. for industrial purposes.

Hourly capacity: approx. 450 to 500 kg of grain.

Model A1200

Also equipped with a Naxos millstone; smaller capacity due to stone's small diameter.

Hourly capacity: approx. 140 to 180 kg of grain (when in constant operation, the capacity can be increased by approx 30% with the aid of pneumatic transport system.

Bolting Mill A400B/A300B

This model consists of the mill itself and the bolting box (for collecting the flour) with the filter bag inside. Fine flour is produced by shaking this bag while the mill is in operation. At the outer end of the bolting box, coarse meal, fine meal and bran are sifted out separately. If desired, the meal can be ground further, which will increase the percentage of fine flour.

This means that the bolting mill produces fine flour, meal and bran in one step.

Whole-grain meal or flour can be ground when the filter bag is removed.

As always, this mill is equipped with a millstone of Sexten primary rock.

A400B: 1.5 kW electrical motor

A300B: 0.75 kW electrical motor

Hourly capacity: approx. 10 to 15 kg of grain.

A500B/A700B: available upon request.

Model 4 K

Four chambers, five discharges (one for bran), suited to A1600 and A1200 mills. A set of replacement sieves is available free of charge.

Model 3 K

Three chambers, four discharges (one for bran), suited to A1000, A700 and A500 mills. A set of replacement sieves is available free of charge.

Sifting machines are also available with five or six chambers upon request.

Model 3 KKA

Smaller model, three chambers, four discharges (one for bran), suited to A400, A300 and A200 mills. A set of replacement sieves is available free of charge.

Our sifting machines are made of solid pine and are driven by their own electrical motors. They can easily be combined with the corresponding mills (even if they have been purchased earlier).

The grain is separated into different degrees of fineness for various flours and meals and the bran is sifted out simultaneously, all in one step.

Model A400 MSM/A300 MSM

Construction same as A500 MSM with millstone of either Naxos stone (NA) or Sexten primary rock (SU). The degree of fineness is infinitely adjustable from the exterior by means of a hand-wheel.

A400 MSM: 380 V electrical motor

Hourly capacity: approx. 25 to 30 kg with NA, 15 to 20 kg with SU

A 300 MSM: 220 V electrical motor

Hourly capacity: approx. 15 to 20 kg with NA, 10 go 15 kg with SU

The newest development is an efficient, practical flour mill with an integrated sifting machine which we call the 'combo mill'.

As the name says, it consists of a combined mill and sifting machine.

This combination makes it possible to produce both whole-grain flour and meal AND plain flour and meal with one machine.

The grain is ground in the mill and then sifted in the attached sifting machine. In one grinding step, fine flour, fine meal, coarse meal and bran are produced.

Exchanging the sieves makes it possible to precisely determine the fineness of the flour and meal.

The combo mill is made of solid pine. Thanks to its simple construction, exchanging the sieves and cleaning the mill are as easy as can be.
